2020 Midwest Parent-Child
Interaction Therapy Conference
Expanding Opportunities within PCIT
Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, Omaha, is hosting the 2nd Biennial Midwest Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Conference in October 2020.
The goal of this conference is to provide continuing education and networking for new and experienced PCIT providers. We are excited to offer engaging keynote speakers and relevant topics for our local Midwest community, as well as the broader community of PCIT therapists.
Last year’s theme was
Engaging Families, Engaging Systems. Speakers focused on factors that enhance family engagement and increase awareness and collaboration with a range of child-serving systems (e.g., schools, primary care, child welfare, juvenile justice).
This year’s theme is
Expanding Opportunities within PCIT. The goal for the second biennial conference is to build upon the knowledge gained and expand PCIT horizons to learn about opportunities to creatively apply PCIT to a diverse range of populations and concerns. In addition, conference attendees will have expanded opportunities to connect with other PCIT providers and stakeholders to continue building a network within our Midwest community and beyond.
The call for poster, workshop, and symposia submissions will open this spring.
Students, clinicians, and researchers are encouraged to submit proposals through July 30, 2020.
Please plan to attend this exciting next installment of the Midwest PCIT Conference!
